Online Store Has Launched!
The Goal is to bring all of my patterns home in one online store, here!
Over the past 5 years my husband and I have had some pretty epic goals: Buy our first home, get married, have a baby. So for the past five years, I’ve had a solid goal to which I can look forward. Now that we have accomplished those, it’s time to set our next five goals. As part of my business goals for the next five years, I’d like to offer all of my patterns and hopefully finished goods here in an online store. So I’ve been working on my first product and while it might be small I can proudly announce that my online store has launched!
Yup! That’s right! You can now shop www.knittinginthepark.com!
First Thing’s First
One of the reasons that this has been such a daunting task, is that I’ve already created blog posts for each of these patterns, and I’ve already published them to different places. Bringing that all into one place and then deciding whether to keep these other listings and posts has been a challenge. I’ve actually been putting off making this decision for a while now. But no time like the present right?
So first thing’s first, it’s time to rip off the bandaid. The online store has launched, so now, one by one I can begin bringing these babies home to live here. I’m still making the decision whether to keep these listings on Ravely, LoveKnitting.com, and Etsy. I’ll keep you posted.
What Product Launched the Online Store?
So glad you asked! As part of my love for knitting hats, specifically hats with cables I’ve dabbled in creating a shorter DPN. You have straight DPNS and shorter, crooked or curved cable needles – for me it was time to marry the two. I’ve used DPNs for cable knitting for years and wanted a shorter version to make this process faster and easier. So et viola!
You’ll see the shop now listed in the menu after the link for all of my patterns. I’ll be eventually merging these two sections as I bring my patterns into the online store.
What’s next for the website?
As I bring these listings into the online store, that opens up space on the website for other content. I haven’t yet decided what to draft up here, but I imagine it will have to do with crafting, motherhood, and just my life in general. If you have ideas for the type of content that you’d like to see leave them in the comments so that we can chat!
