Test Knit Emily’s Scarf
Help Test Knit Emily’s Scarf, the Perfect Winter Accessory
All has been quiet in the park recently as I’ve been working on a few scarf patterns. Emily’s Hat was really well received and quickly became a favorite hat knitting pattern. This sparked the idea for Emily’s Scarf. The intricate lines in this scarf make it a beautiful winter accessory. Knit it in your favorite sport or worsted weight yarn and Emily’s hat becomes as warm as it is lovely.
Skills You’ll Need for This Test Knit
The edging of this scarf requires Knitting and purling through the back loop. If you’re new to these skills, they are pretty easy to pick up and after a few of each you’ll be flying. If this is something you aren’t able to pick up or would rather knit the typical knit one, purl one ribbing, I’d be okay with that too.
The show-stopper in Emily’s Scarf is a series of knit below’s. You’ll count down six stitches, starting with the stitch right below the live stitch on your needle. And then you will knit into the stitches one row at a time until you reach the live stitch. Then starting with the longest loop, lift them up and over, one at a time.
Time Frame for the Test Knit:
This being a scarf, I recognize that it will take longer to knit. I would ask for feedback though in one week. Since the border is relatively quick, and the bulk of the scarf is a simple repeat, you’ll be able to get a feel for the pattern and read through it quite quickly.
All feedback can be sent via email.
