Revamping Emily’s Hat Pattern
This Beautiful Hat Pattern is Now Available in More Accurate Sizes for the While Family
One of my most recent adult hat designs, the Emily Hat has been available for kids and adults. I’ve taken a second look at the sizing though and made some adjustments. The results are more accurate sizes and a broader range of sizes for this unique hat pattern.
The Emily is Now Available for Babies:
After redesigning the Aprés Ski Hat for Babies and the Chevron Hat for Babies, I’ve taken these developments and created the pattern for the Emily’s Hat for Babies! I’ve been wanting to offer this hat in this tiny pint sized version for a while now. Time just hasn’t been on my side until this moment. As my son falls asleep on my arm, after bouncing in my lap, I’m finally able to publish the Emily’s Hat for Babies!
I cannot wait to see this hat bobbing along on the heads of little ones this winter.
This design really lends towards babies, especially little girls with the soft cables and knit below’s. Just like an adorable baby, I’m totally smitten with this pattern.

Adjusting the Adult Sizing for Emily’s Hat
Recently I’ve started take a closer look at the sizing in my patterns. I’ve previously made some hats a bit more snug, as that was my preferred fit and feel at the time. After making some larger hats and trying them out before gifting them to their intended people, I’ve realized that a looser fitting hat is a lovely thing!
As a result, I went back and adjusted the sizing for the Emily hat. The Baby sized version of this hat also helped to inform this pattern size. If you download this new version you’ll see that I’ve included sizing information from kids through adult size large.
This is one of my all time favorite hat patterns and I have plans to make a few more this Fall/Winter. And I plan to keep one this time!
