Embracing the pink
When your bathroom is pink, and you’re not quite ready for reno
If you’ve been reading this blog, you know that we just bought our first house. It’s an adorable little ranch house that was built in the late 60’s. The house has great bones, some neat, period features…and some things that need a lot of work.
You can read through some of the older posts to learn about the struggle we’re currently having with our washer, dryer and laundry tub. We’ve had to Macgiver the door to the garage back into place and are looking at getting the old fuse boxes upgraded along with some wiring. This summer we’ll probably need a new roof and some of the gutters and soffit need some love – oh and we’re definitely painting. With all of that going on, we’re not ready for a bathroom overhaul just yet.
So we’re embracing our pink.
While I’d love to update it and h e it feel that “brand new” clean feeling, I don’t have the energy to gut it. We’re researching companies and way to change the color of the tub and looking at trying to take the fiberglass surround off of the wall – but not knowing the condidtion of the tile underneath, it’s a bit scary. So for now, we’ve hit up our super talented friend Jill of www.trailsendartworks.com for some pink pieces to tie it all together.
