Branding Update

Stick Around for Upcoming Brand Changes!

In my efforts to get more serious around here, I’m making some investments. The first is updating the look of my branding and putting together some actual brand elements. A dear friend of mine is working on my logo. Now, right now, for my blog, a logo isn’t make or break. But, I do plan to use it in more places.

There are loads of other things happening both in my head and in real life. They’re just happening more slowly now as I have a one year old who likes to climb on things, try to play with outlets and plugs, and thinks yarn is a really great toy to wander around the house with.

More to come soon! Thanks so much for sticking around with me!

Logo!

My patterns will be updated with this logo. My Facebook Page will probably receive a new profile picture. But most excitingly (for me), I plan to order my own leather labels for my knits. I’ve been donating a good bit of pieces, and plan to also sell commissioned pieces and this will go a long way towards helping grow my branding. Right now I’ve kind of been relying on people to remember where they got the pieces but soon they won’t have to!

Colors!

I feel like I’m yelling “Lights, Camera, Action!” at you all and do apologize. This is kind of exciting though. So I’m a huge fan of color, if you couldn’t already tell. And so I’ve been having a troublesome time trying to nail down what colors I’d like to use in my branding. This is your chance to have some input! If you feel a particular color comes to mind when you think of Knitting in the Park, I’m all ears. I’ll gift one free pattern to anyone who leaves a suggestion for color(s) in the comments of this post.

Action!

So it might not seem like it, because I’m knitting through some various projects and draft the patterns for them, but there are new patterns coming. I’ve just recently revamped the Toddler sizing for the Chevron Hat Pattern to my online store. Also, I’m going to be offering the Addy Hat as a bundle when I finally get a chance to pull them all together. Also, I want to offer some of my favorite hat patterns in a bundle, a book if you will in my online store. I have grand dreams of getting this printed but we’ll see.

Also, coming soon to the store is an updated Toddler Addy Hat as seen here:

Printed Patterns:

I’ve been toying with the idea of offering printed versions of my patterns. I’m not sure how I would handle shipping but I’m getting closer. This is going to take some time to research options for quality and pricing, but good things come to those who wait right?? My main goal is to keep the pricing reasonable here.

I’m thinking the shawl patterns might be a good place to start.

New Patterns:

A fun little exciting note here, I’m working on a new shawl as we speak with thinner sock weight yarn. I think it will be a great pice for seasonal transitions and even summer evenings.

I’ve also got plans in my head for a new baby blanket pattern! Who doesn’t get excited over a fun baby blanket knitting pattern right?
