A Few Fall Treats in Time for Halloween
Or so I hope…
This is a tease, a total tease. But I’ve been MIA and wanted to explain a bit why. First and foremost, I’ve been knitting all of the pumpkins. I’m working through my stash of faux velvet yarn and knitting up some adorable fall gourds. That being said, we’re getting to the good part here. I saw on another commercial site some adorable ghost themed pillows. And here’s the tease…I’m going to try to whip them up along with some fall baked goodies.
We’ve been Oktober-festing it up in our house with brats, beer, lederhosen and more. The newest member of our family has my hands pretty tied up. She doesn’t want me to put her down, ever. So I’ve been sneaking my time for crafting
Fiber-y Good Ghost Pillows
Knitting
So I’m taking some of my respun polyester Lionbrand yarn from Joanns in white and am going to try to make a 3D knitted ghost. The pattern is pending. I’ve just figured out how I want to try to tackle this project. I’ve got two different ideas. So, I should in theory, be able to make this work somehow. If you crochet, you should be able to take my general idea and make these for yourself as well. I just hope I have enough yarn to make it!
Sewing
I also plan to attempt this as a sewing project! In my mind it’s looking super cute! I have two different fabrics that I’m going back and forth on but the ideas are there and I cannot wait to try them! I’m not really familiar on how to package sewing patterns online. I plan to at least give the general instructions if I cannot give you an actual download on how to make these.
More Pumpkins Please!
I will forever be playing with pumpkins so I am going to be hopefully adding a new pumpkin pattern here as well!
Baking:
I don’t think I’ve ever shared my favorite fall baking recipe: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. I’ll put the recipe for them up and share how to make homemade whipped cream. Once you make it yourself and find out just how easy it is, you’ll never want to go back to any other whipped cream.
